My goal is to preserve your special moments in its raw, pure, joyous, unfiltered, emotional state for generations to come.  Years from now, when you look back to your photos you feel the real, fresh, vibrant emotions come back to like and jump off the page.  I believe in the legacy of love.

I am a wife, mom and dog lover.  I bought my first camera a few years ago to take professional photos of cakes I was making.  I stopped making cakes, but still had this camera and started taking photos of my family and two German Shepherds and got hooked taking photos.

I believe that natural light, from the sun and its reflection, creates photographs that feel fresh, timeless and true to you as a couple, family and professional.

I AM SO EXCITED for your portrait session!  Whether I am capturing your sweet family, or celebrating a special moment in your life, like a graduation, birthday, anniversary or new baby, I am honored to help you create memories you'll cherish for a lifetime.

About me

Tips

1. 1. Book a few months out in advance. Weekends fill up first. You can get a Fast Pass to the front of the line by scheduling mid-week.

2. Bring a pair of flats to wear when moving from place to place.  Your feet will thank you later!

3. Snacks, water and toys for the kids.  It is hard being a model.

4. A little extra polish. Don't forget to get your nails done.

Selecting the right location.  The location of your photos is up to you! This is the time to think outside the box.  I encourage you to brainstorm unique locations.  If you get stuck or need inspiration, just ask.

Styling Tips for HER.  Dress it up.  Have you thought about rocking a sequined gown, tulle skirt or flower crown but never had an occasion for it?  This is your chance.   There is no such thing as "too dressed up" when it comes to your session, so don't be afraid to have some fun.   Long, flowy dresses and skirts look amazing on camera because they bring extra movement to the photos.  Dresses and skirts tend to look more stunning on camera because they really flatter the female body - which is probably why the red carpet is always full of so many dresses and not very many pantsuits!

When choosing colors for your outfits we recommend selecting lighter tones and more muted shades.  By avoiding ultra-bright, bold colors, it will help bring ALL the attention to your faces and let the eye focus on the way you feel.  The camera loves shades of soft pink and muted blues, mixed with sophisticated light neutrals like heather gray, creams, leather brown and white.  COORDINATING  the looks.  As you are coordinating your outfit, don't forget about everyone else.  You want to look cohesive on camera when the color palettes coordinate, but not necessarily "match."

Flattering your features.  In my experience, every women, regardless of her shape has an area of her body that she's self-conscious about, so recognizing what area that is in advance is key.  Choosing flattering silhouettes and colors that complement your natural features in the best way to ensure you'll love the way you look in your photos.

Make a statement.  Pairing an accessory or two with your outfit can really help bring some extra dimension to your images.  A big statement necklace brings a lot of pop to the photos.  Choose one or two that don't compete for attention.

Go Pro with the hair and makeup.  Professional hair and makeup if at all possible because it looks AMAZING and removes the stress of getting ready on your own.

Fashion for HIM.  Because dapper and debonair never go out of style.  A well-tailored suit, suit coat, blazer or sports coat with a different pant color.  Layered look.  Long pants and closed-toed shoes are the most sophisticated.
